Accessibility statement
Prepared on 27 September 2026. Last reviewed on 27 September 2026.
This statement covers siteclara.com and the SiteClara service: the pages a QR code or NFC tag opens, the worker queue and reviews, the portal for building owners and service providers, the daily report, and the emails and texts SiteClara sends. It also covers the posters SiteClara prints.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use SiteClara. For example, you should be able to:
- zoom up to 200% without text spilling off the screen, and read most pages at 320 pixels wide;
- use the browser's own translation, with a Language button on the phone screens that explains how (a building's own report form can leave it out; the browser's Translate still works there);
- use dark mode in the app, the portal and the emails;
- sign in without typing a code: a link by text or email, or a passkey;
- use most of SiteClara with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring, and a skip link past the navigation wherever a page has one.
How accessible SiteClara is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. SiteClara is partially compliant: the parts listed below do not yet meet it.
What does not yet meet the standard
- The public report, trial and enquiry use Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party check whose accessibility SiteClara does not control. If it cannot run in your browser, the form cannot be sent. For a report at a building, try another browser or tell the building's staff. For a trial or an enquiry, email help@siteclara.com instead.
- By design: success messages close on their own after about two seconds for a visitor and three seconds for a worker; tap Continue or press Escape to close one sooner. Admin sessions end after 12 hours and sign-in links after 15 minutes without warning.
We keep these by design, for reasons we have weighed against accessibility: Turnstile keeps spam out of the public form, trial and enquiry; the short success sheet keeps work at a tag quick, and Continue stays on screen for a screen reader; the time limits protect accounts. We will review these choices and update this statement as we do.
How we tested
On 26 September 2026 SiteClara was reviewed against WCAG 2.2 level AA, the GOV.UK Design System, usability heuristics and field conditions, using automated checks and expert review of every screen rendered in Chromium, and the phone screens in WebKit too, on Windows, from test data. Fixes from that review shipped over the following days. It has not yet been tested by disabled people, with VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA or JAWS, with voice control, on real iPhones and Android phones, in real mail apps, or on printed posters. Those tests are planned.
Reporting a problem or asking for another format
Email help@siteclara.com. Tell us the page or the tag, what you were trying to do and what happened. We will reply within 5 working days.
