Work without signal and manage photos

Know what can queue, what still needs a connection and how to confirm it reached the record.

Prepare before entering a weak-signal area

Finish enrolment and open SiteClara in your normal browser while online. The offline lane depends on the phone having loaded the site; it is not a guarantee that an entirely new browser can start without a connection.

Keep the same phone and browser, and avoid clearing browser data while work is waiting to send. Do not use private browsing for work you need the browser to retain.

Read the message after recording work

Supported confirmations, scheduled-check outcomes and job closes can queue when sending fails. Look for Saved. It sends when you are back in range. or the explicit queued message shown. An Offline badge alone does not mean an action was saved.

Queued work carries the phone's recorded time and identifier. The server checks it when replayed and can refuse it if access, the tag or the job is no longer valid. A queued result is therefore not the same as an accepted server record.

A no-signal mark may lack checklist answers

When a signed-in worker cannot look up a tag without signal, the degraded lane can offer a done mark without the location's checklist. This is flagged in the record as marked done with no signal and checklist not answered. It can fulfil a qualifying scheduled check at the recorded time when the server accepts it, but never silently claims the checklist was answered.

Use the available online checklist wherever possible. Do not assume forms for problem reporting, invitations or administration can be submitted offline.

Photos need a connection

Photos must upload while there is a signal. Wait for the photo-saved feedback rather than treating a selected thumbnail as proof of upload. Phone images are reduced and stripped of EXIF metadata before upload.

Visit photos are independent of completion: saving one does not mark a check done. A contractor choosing Fixed must provide the required photo and note; get the photo uploaded before relying on the visit's queued send.

You can delete your own visit photo until that day's report is approved. This is not a general right to delete another person's photos or an approved report's evidence.

When you return to signal

  1. Reconnect and open SiteClara in the same browser.
  2. Let queued work send, then refresh the relevant location, queue or report.
  3. Confirm the expected result is present. If it was refused or is still missing, ask your supervisor or support with the building, location and approximate time.

Do not assume leaving an offline page means the work will certainly appear. If the phone or its stored data was lost, explain the gap to the supervisor.
