Open the job on the phone you will take
- Open the job link the school or building team shared with you.
- Use your phone's normal Safari or Chrome browser, not the browser inside a messaging app.
- Check the name and job, then choose Open the job on this phone.
The first browser to take the link holds the job. Use that same phone and browser at the location. Another browser cannot take it too. The link works for up to 30 days unless it is replaced or revoked. After the job closes, you can still read its details until the link expires or is ended, but cannot record another visit.
You do not need a SiteClara account or worker enrolment. SiteClara holds no phone number for this job link and sends you no text; the sender shares the link themselves.
Read the job and contact the building
The job page shows the building and address, location, reported problem, its photos, the contact line and your recorded visits. You cannot see other jobs, the daily report or who reported the problem.
Use the contact details shown for access, arrangements and questions. If none are given, reply to the message that brought the link. Booking, purchase orders, prices and any required compliance documents stay with the building's own process.
Record the visit at the job’s tag
- At the location, scan its QR code or tap its NFC sticker using the browser holding the job.
- Check that your contractor job appears for that location.
- If fixed, choose Fixed: close the job, add the required photo and short note, then confirm.
- If more work is needed, choose Needs another visit and add a note. The job stays open with you.
A different room's tag cannot close this job. If the tag is missing, or you cannot record the visit there, contact the building team. Do not use another location as a substitute.
If the link or phone changes
If the page says the job is open on another phone, return to the original browser. If that is impossible, ask the sender for a replacement link. Clearing browser data, changing phone or opening in a different browser can lose the browser's hold.
Photos must upload with a signal. A supported visit can queue after the required evidence is prepared, but only an explicit saved-to-send message means it was queued. Reconnect in the same browser and confirm the result; do not treat an unsent visit as an accepted closure.
