Control texts and supervisor email alerts

Understand which messages SiteClara sends and how to turn them off or back on.

What the texts are for

SiteClara texts enrolled mobile staff for enrolment and sign-in. It also texts a building manager when a supervisor deliberately escalates a job to that manager. A new problem report does not text the whole team.

The enrolling organisation must confirm the person agreed to receive texts. Staff reporters use school-email access instead and receive no SiteClara texts. For external contractors, the sender shares the job link themselves.

Turn texts off or on in the app

  1. While signed in on your phone, open your queue.
  2. Find Texts from SiteClara at the bottom of the page.
  3. Use the switch to turn texts off or back on.

Off stops sign-in links too. It does not sign you out of the browser or remove your assignment. A building manager selected for an escalation can still see it in their queue with texts off, but receives no text.

Reply handling varies by country. Read the text messages page for the supported stop and resume routes. Do not assume a reply to a local sending number always reaches SiteClara. If you are signed out with texts stopped and cannot resume them, contact support.

Supervisor: choose new-job emails separately

Add your email in the alert section of your queue and confirm it with the email link. New jobs in your scope can then email you. Own-staff service coverage also determines these recipients. A repeated report joined to an existing job does not produce a new-job email.

Use the email alert controls or the stop link in an alert to stop those emails. Your private alert address is separate from a portal-user invitation. Adding it does not make you a portal administrator or report reader.

Daily reports and selected contacts are different

Daily report recipients are configured in the report setup, not by the phone texts switch. Selecting a contact as notified during report review records your own notification; SiteClara sends that contact nothing from that selection.

For a contractor visit, the sender can receive a visit email under the sender's access rules. It is not a contractor text or a new-job alert.

Need a hand?

For your building's access or work, start with your organisation's administrator. For SiteClara or billing help, email help@siteclara.com.

Include your organisation, the building, what you tried and the message shown. Do not send private sign-in, invitation or contractor links, or full card details.
