Check that you can send this job
You can send an open job at your organisation's own building if it belongs to your own staff or has not been routed to a provider. A provider-routed job belongs to that provider. Contractor sending is not offered at shared sites, in unsaved trials or during assisted setup.
A portal user sends from the building's Open requests. A supervisor of the building's own staff sends from a job already visible in their queue. Another provider's supervisor cannot send the building's own jobs.
Create and share the link
- Open the job and choose Send to a contractor.
- Select an existing contractor or enter their name, company and trade. A new named contractor joins your organisation's list.
- Create the link and use Share on your phone or Copy link on your computer.
- Send that link yourself using your usual communication method.
SiteClara does not send it for you. The link is shown once, so copy or share it before leaving the result. The list in Settings → Contractors holds names, companies and trades, not contractor user accounts, phone numbers or email addresses.
Set your organisation's contractor contact line in the same Settings section so contractors know how to reach the building. If you leave it blank, they are told to reply to the message that brought the link.
Follow the record
The job shows who it was sent to, whether the link was opened and the contractor's visits. The contractor records Fixed with a photo and note at that job's tag, or Needs another visit with a note. The daily report and export keep this record.
The sender can receive an email for a recorded visit: a portal sender at their portal address, or a queue supervisor at their confirmed alert address. No text is sent. Email delivery is separate from whether the visit was recorded.
Resend, replace or revoke
Send again creates a new link for the same contractor and ends the previous one. Send to someone else replaces the current sending. Revoke ends the link. Only one sending is live for the job at a time.
The link can be used for up to 30 days and the first normal browser to take it holds the job. If the contractor loses that browser, create and share a replacement. Treat the link as access to the job's details.
Keep arrangements in your own process
Use your normal procedures for appointments, access, purchase orders, quotes and compliance checks. Sending a SiteClara job does not book a contractor or approve their qualifications. The contractor never sees who reported the problem.
